Spring Recap

As the heat reminds us that official Summer is fast approaching, let’s take a look back over Spring so that we might properly appreciate it.

We began in January with a reminder that we do Maintenance contracts on an annual basis, so that we might better attune our work to the many seasonal variations of your yards and plants. If you took us up on one of these contracts, then you would have seen many days of this type of activity:

After stopping off at the end of January in Pinehurst, NC to pick up a Belgard Project Excellence Award

… in February and March we began telling anyone who would listen that early Spring was an excellent time to install new trees, plants, and shrubs. The plants use the extra time to develop a strong root system before the Summer heat takes full effect. The calls came in and our guys went to work:

Along with new trees, plants, and shrubs, we installed seed and sod for many customers.

And, as a recommended adjunct to newly planted material and grass, we installed many an irrigation system throughout the Spring season:

Then we took a moment in April to alert our customers – and others – to the causes and consequences of the appearance of grassy weeds in our yards and gardens.

And finally, throughout this past season, we engaged in hardscape projects and installations of night lighting. Spring seemed to remind people that they like getting outdoors, and there is nothing like a good stone paver walkway, a built in grill or fireplace, or a low voltage lighting system to make the outdoors doubly attractive during the warmer months of the year.
