Fall presents a transition stage for your landscape. Yards and gardens continue growth cycles begun in the Spring, but then begin adapting to the dormancy of the Winter months.
Here is a recently completed initial cleanup of a property so we could begin our standard maintenance contract work.
These initial cleanup activities included fresh mulch, pruning, and mowing. Our standard maintenance duties will sustain these efforts throughout the rest of the year, helping the landscape to flourish, prepare for Winter dormancy, and present the customers’ yards and gardens at their best throughout the Fall season.
Drilling down on a couple of these tasks, fresh pine straw mulch insulates against colder temperatures and inhibits weeds. It also presents a clean edge to natural areas.
Pruning is particular to the plants involved, but generally it tells a plant where to direct its growth. This tree, for instance, will now send its energies towards a pleasing upright canopy, rather than an array of irregular branches.
Properly pruned azaleas provide a more uniform presentation.
