We began this project with a scene like this: the flat, clay soil typical of the eastern edge of the Piedmont of North Carolina.
But with the help of lush, new sod and a panoply of plant material – from Maples to Crape Myrtles to Arborvitae and Hydrangeas, all in beds of Dark Walnut Designer mulch – we transformed that red clay look into this:
Dwarf Cryptomeria, Littlelime Hydrangea, Weeping Japanese Maple, and etc.
Dwarf Loropetalum, Steeds Holly, Distyllium, and etc.
