You want a back patio but the steep slope to the Lake is a problem? Ben’s Creek Nursery has the cure for what ails you. A stone retaining wall will level the topography and hold back the slope – and also support the paver patio of your dreams.
First up are progress photos on a current project, followed by other near-epic engineering marvels by our guys!
This is a Techo-Bloc smooth finish paver patio, supported by Techo-Bloc segmented block retaining walls.

Note the construction of the walkway down to the boathouse. The steep slope to the Lake demanded a creative solution to alleviate the pitch of the terrain, and our guys delivered with this zig-zag pattern.
The landing areas are Techo-Bloc smooth finish paver sidewalks supported by Techo-Bloc segmented block wingwalls, and the steps are 6′ dark grey stone slabs. You can also see elegant Techo-Bloc Raffinato Onyx Black caps throughout the construction.

Finished photos of this project will be posted. But here are some of the many combo retaining walls and patios we’ve done around the Lake.
Here is an Everblue Full Color Variegated porcelain paver patio sporting a Sandlewood Valencia wood-burning fire pit, supported by a Sandalwood Mini Creta retaining wall, posted in New Project – Finished!

Posted in Lake Overlook, this project is a Blue 60 Modern Nickeled Grey paver patio with Grande Slabs and a Blue 60 Onyx Black accent border, combined with a major supporting wall of Shale Grey Mini Creta blocks. The fire pit is a Slate Grey Brandon gas fire pit.

This project started out like this …

… and ended up like this! This is a Champlain Grey Mini Creta curved retaining wall with dark grey bullnose copping cap supporting a Techo Bloc Champlain Grey Eva paver patio with dark grey accents, posted in An Epic Project – Finished.

This next one is truly an engineering masterpiece. It is a double-tier patio of Savannah Catalina Grana pavers and slate gray Holland Stone borders, supported by a sturdy Colonial Castle Manor Grana curved retaining wall, posted in Hard Work. The lower patio sports a Colonial Weston Stone fire pit and a 30′ long Colonial Castle Manor Grana sitting wall.

Finally, our guys connected the patio to the boat dock by a Savannah Catalina Grana paver sidewalk with slate gray Holland Stone borders.
