Progress Report – New Sod, Plantings, Walkways, & More!

This project is progressing nicely. Most of the lake side of the property has been finished, with new sod, a paver walkway, and a garden bed of plantings. The front and side paver walkways and planting beds were just installed with some grading, new sod, and a paver parking pad to come.

Let’s take a look at what our crews’ have accomplished so far. First, the before photos.

This is about 9,000 sf of Compadre Zoysia sod. The walkway is a 90′ long Champlain Grey Eva paver with a dark grey accent border. We inserted four dark grey solid slab steps to mitigate the slope down to the boathouse.

In the front yard, we still have some work to do, including grading and installation of the new sod and cleanup on these two newly installed paver walkways. The walkways are Champlain Grey Eva pavers with dark grey borders and include four solid grey slab steps to mitigate the slope. You can also see a Mini Creta step-down retaining wall to hold the slope on the new planting bed.

Here are the before photos of the side yard.

We installed new garden beds with an array of plants in Dark Walnut Shredded mulch or decorative washed river rock. You see here a Weeping Japanese Red Maple, Sunshine Ligustrum, Dwarf Burgundy Lorapetulum, Vintage Jade Distylium, and an Emerald arborvitae.

A lot of work left to do, but our guys are definitely making progress!
