Finishing Work

Ben’s Creek can do a complete landscape plan, but how about finishing work, cleaning up and supplementing the landscape after a customer builds a new addition on their home?

That’s what we did for this customer. New sod, plant beds, fill dirt and gravel, all of it to clean up the landscaping mess that new construction brings and bring out the beauty of this lakeside property.

We began with correcting driveway problems. This smooth, sloping driveway resulted from our guys bringing in loads of fill dirt, grading, and then covering with gravel.

Here’s what the landscape looked like after the customer finished the additions to the house.

Here are contrasting photos of the side yard after our guys finished.

As for the front yard, it received new fescue sod. We also installed planting beds, with fresh new plants in pine straw mulch along the foundation. You see here Emerald Arborvitae, a Sangu Kaku Green Japanese Maple centered on the arched window, Pyramidal Steeds Hollies under the arched window, Moonlight Lace Viburnum left of the front door, August Beauty Gardenia left and right of the front door steps, Sunshine Ligustrum on the front right, and a Nellie R. Stevens Hollies at the corner. Interspersed along the front of these beds are Dwarf Burgundy Lorepetalum, Kaleidoscope Abelia, and Golden Nandina.

Our guys installed a planting bed and plants in the back yard as well as new fescue sod.

These were existing steps down to the Lake that we repaired and freshened up with new gravel, and we also dug a drainage correcting swale, filled with rock and stone.

Excellent work by our crews!
