A Golf Cart Patio – Finished!

Our guys don’t mess around – we posted on this golf cart patio at the end of July and were able to take these pictures of the finished project within a week!

In summary, what you are seeing is a golf cart patio/turnaround area with access steps to a boat dock, together with a golf cart path around the lakefront yard to a fire pit & patio with access steps to a second boat dock. Additionally, there are three major retaining walls to buttress and support it all.

So climb into your golf cart and let’s take a ride …

The subtle shades of gray of these Techo Bloc Eva Champlain Grey pavers make for a strikingly elegant golf cart patio/turnaround. The retaining walls and steps are composed of Belgard Shelby Ashlar Tandem block, which has a distinctive chiseled stone texture that replicates the look of natural stone.

For orientation, here is the lakefront yard. The golf cart path is recessed below the front of the yard.

The golf cart path begins at the patio/turnaround area and runs around the front of the yard, tracking the contours of the shoreline. The upper retaining wall you see here is both holding back the downward slope of the yard and fortifying/leveling the cart path.

Ah! We’ve arrived at the patio & fire pit, overlooking the second boathouse!

This is a Breeo Zentro Smokeless Fire Pit insert. The “smokeless” aspect is natural; there are no batteries or other power needed! More information on this near-magical fire pit can be found here and how it works is explained here.

The steep slope to the second boathouse is mitigated by this attractive staggered step design.

Amazing work by our crews – thanks, Guys!
