The Spirit of Christmas

The Spirit of Christmas was in evidence at Ben’s Creek’s annual Christmas Party, as Robert and Treva Neville hosted a wonderful night for all the employees in downtown Roanoke Rapids. Many thanks also to Tony Floyd of Cricket’s Sports Bar & Grill (aka, Cricket’s Dart Room) for opening his doors for this annual event.

It was a night that included the usual food and conversation, but also highly competitive games of pool, karaoke, and enthusiastic dancing!

On this New Years Eve, let’s not forget to look back on our blessings – and the Ben’s Creek Christmas Party was certainly one of those in 2025!

Little Whit, with his Uncle Nelson and Mother Jill, got an eyeful, clearly enjoying this festive lead up to Christmas!

The food was plentiful and delicious!

As befits a Sports Bar, the pool competition was hot, especially between those perennial antagonists, Brock “Fats” Lilly and Glen “Stick” Buckner. But Rogelio Rochas, Nelson Neville, and others showed their acumen with a pool cue as well.

In karaoke, Jarvis Garner clearly stole the show, but received exceptional help from Brandon Daniels.

And the dancing continued throughout …

There were many awards distributed. In no particular order …

Apolonio Tejas Rosas, aka Polito, received recognition for his 10 years of outstanding work.

Oliver Hernandez received the 2025 Installation Team Player of the Year Award.

Rogelio Rocha took home the 2025 Installation Division Employee of the Year.

Brandon Daniels garnered the 2025 Maintenance Division Employee of the Year.

And Tim Kearney received the well deserved 2025 Maintenance Division Team Player of the Year Award.

We’ve included some of Treva Neville’s pictures above, but you can see all of her photos posted on our Ben’s Creek Facebook page.

A great time was had by all! Many thanks again to Robert & Treva Neville, and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our customers and friends!
